We are continuously evolving the program in meaningful ways aligned to the UCI community—expanding local ingredients and partnerships, creating curated culinary experiences, and engaging with students to shape the program and create a sense of belonging. Our dining program has won numerous awards, including recognition from NACUFS in sustainability as well as partnership awards from campus departments and organizations.

NATIONAL PARKS COLLABORATIVE STUDENT PROGRAM
Study in the National Parks.” This “J-term” educational experience similar to “study abroad” is faculty supported and eligible for earned academic credits. To make measurable impact, students will contribute at least one lasting capstone project to the park. Imagine being immersed in study and nature at Yosemite, Mesa Verde, or Crater Lake.
CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR HOSPITALITY, INNOVATION AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
To drive sustained innovation we are creating a West Region Center of Hospitality, Innovation, and Experiential Learning. This destination, the first of its kind, will be piloted at UCI and is designed to provide our West Region dining teams with elevated training and a testing site for new technology for the higher education environment, and serve as a launch pad for Saxbys and support for new entrepreneurs. At the core of our Service Excellence philosophy is the holistic guest experience. This means that we excel at everything that touches our guests: great service, quality food, clean locations, attention to detail, and speed of service.
